The ongoing significant ecological and social crisis impacting planet Earth, its territories, habitats, and inhabitants underscores the imperative to tackle systemic, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary environmental challenges.

The heightened awareness of the impact of human activities on crucial balances within the biosphere, including climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, substantial pressure on natural resources, and shifts in habitat dynamics, is sparking substantial political and social discourse.

Vital cycles like water, carbon, nitrogen, terrestrial or climatic phenomena, along with energy resources, constitute fundamental processes that must be reexamined today in light of their interactions with human activities.

The seminar will be facilitated by:

Étienne ESPAGNE

Senior Climate Economist at the World Bank, co-Director of the C3A programme
